Celebrate the gift of ‘you’ to the world :)

This post is specially delicated to Mr. Brandon Choon (for a moment, I wanted to type Wong or Yeow as surname! hahaha). HAPPY HAppy happy 24th Birthday Bran!!!

The first time we met, I guess is in SMU when I’m crossing the road over to SOA from Pick & Bite. That time he was with kulaa, and I think he got that strange look on me! haha perhaps kulaa told him how violent I am in the past and he was like “oh, so this is the girl”! haha! He has been a great friend, helping me with my MAC problems, answering me all braces related issues and also psycho-ing me to fake MC so to skip work that day! hhahaha! Good or bad, I enjoyed the accompany of this friend. Our interactions get closer through Music Interactive Club (MIC), we are the IC for the game 十字路口 , we attended gatherings (volleyball @ sentosa, clubbing, KTV, starbucks talk-cock session, prawning, birthday parties etc), and we even go to Europe for our exchange program. A lot of awesome moments we had. He’s a guy with his own thinking, helpful and nice to get along with! He’s also sporty in alot of things (but not when you ask him to take off his clothes at the beach!) HAHA!

Alright, I believe that you will enjoy this day to the fullest with your dear friends and families! Too bad me and Karyn will not in Sg to celebrate with you huh, BAD LUCK THOUGH! BOO! YOU WILL GROW WITH UR WISDOM AND NOT JUST YOUR AGE! :) Have Fun <3

Sinking of Venice!

Third weekend trip this month, and this time to Venice<3 This beautiful italian city where the streets are paved with water is wonderfully romantic in some sense. But sad to say, the water is kind of dirty ya! Obviously, the place is a MUST go, as the sinking of buildings is getting serious year by year. The water level has been rising, and faced periodic flooding issues during pouring times, it get worst during high tide. It will be a petty for such unique city to vanish and you never get to visit it anymore.

Ryn and me enjoyed every minute of it in Venice, though it’s a short one night stay. There are no bus, metro or cars to get around in the city, people get around by boat or by foot , different experience in a sense. The first day we trying to find our hotel by foot, oh man Venice is like a maze. We tried to follow signs “Per Rialto”, but somehow the signs keep appear and disappear again. It’s the first time we asked like 10 people to get to our destinations, record breaking indeed. Sometimes we even ended up at the same place, walking in circles-.- Exhausted..

Lots of small canal like this in Venice

Water not as clear and clean

The first day we went to Rialto Bridge and walking around shopping in the city. The bridge connect the districts of San Polo & San Marco across The Grand Canal. This bridge is swamped by tourists for them to take photos! The night view of The Grand Canal is so nice, but its a long wait at the bridge as it only turn totally dark at 10 pm at night. And it get bright at 5-6 am already, the night is so short!

Rialto Bridge

Boats passing through the bridge

Night View of The Grand Canal

Sepia Effect, NICE!

Second day at Venice is good, we went to Piazzetta, San Marco. The feeling of walking under the hot sun, enjoying the breeze, and taking photos as we walked is great! St Mark’s Square located there is the principal square that is full of history and surrounded by great architecture. Several of Venice’s major sights are located there, so the square is often crowded with tourists. Doge’s Palace, Bridge of Signs, St. Mark’s Campanile, St. Mark’s Basilica…..were the main places we went!

The magnificent Doge's Palace is one of the most important buildings in Venice. It was the center of power, from where the Venetian Republic was ruled.

St Mark's Basilica - Most Famous Church

St. Mark's Campanile - Venice's tallest bell tower - is one of the city's most recognizable buildings.

Bridge of SIgns (under construction).. Look at the six faces, it got all the sad face except one smiling face (2nd face from the left)

The only smiling face!

The Redentore church on La Giudecca

Gesuati (Church)

Enjoying every moment of it!

Transport in Venice. There are three kind of transport called Gondole, Water Taxi & Vaporetto! Nearly every visitor to Venice wants to enjoy a gondola ride while visiting the city. However, gondolas aren’t the normal form of transportation around the canals. There are tourist vehicles that visitors can hire for sightseeing purposes. Many hire them for a romantic journey and, each year, hundreds of couples become engaged while sailing through Venice’s canals. BUT I personally don’t feel it’s romantic at all sadly.. haha! Prague could be more romantic ya! And I think it is very expensive, cost like 50 euros per person? But the boat is well-decorated with themes.

Vaporetto is a kind of public transport, we got this at 6.50 euros for one way! The boat made me giddy sick..=(

3 kind of boats

I ♥ VENEZIA!

Next up? We are going Belgium (Brussels & Antewerp), Holland (Amsterdam) & Germany (Munich).. This time with this weirdo + lame-ness guy, our school mate from Singapore! Excited about his trip over to Graz on 3rd June, YAY it’s coming soon!:)

PRAGUE! 亞洲團…

Weekend trip again to Prague. This time round with the accompany of our friends from this exchange program too. They are from taiwan named Sophia & Sherry, and they brought a korean girl too! :)  안녕하세요…… This girls are sweet, fun and full of enthusiasm. Sophia is like a mini tour guide doing so much research and bringing us around. Felt a little guilty for doing minimal research that time due to hectic assignments that week!

We went to Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Dancing House, St. Nicholas Church, TYN Church, Old town Hall, Old Town Bridge Tower…. Basically we went to almost all the famous attractions and it is of walkable distance. I walked the whole day (legs super straining), damn tiring when I reached the hostel but so shiok!

Pictures speak a thousand words, so here’s the flooding of photos!

Asian Group (Taiwan, Korea, Singapore!) Taken at Charles Bridge!

The beautiful Prague Castle at night <3 Charles Bridge is right in front too <3

Weird Structure? The Dancing House!

Night view of TYN Church! Like a mini Disneyland Castle!

Having fun at Prague with awesome companion:)

Cheerful Girls Over there!

Oh another bad incident happen to us AGAIN! Another transport fine AGAIN :( we bought the 24 hrs day ticket valid till 22.57 pm. However, we took the train at 11 pm, exceeding the time and we just wanna risk it. Unfortunately, when we wanted to change line, there were officers standing at the entrance checking tickets. So there are 5 officers and LOTS of people passing through the entrance. The bad luck thing is WE WERE WALKING JUST RIGHT TOWARDS THE OFFICER IN THE CROWD!!! And among ALL THE PEOPLE, the officers checked our tickets =.=” Who can be as unlucky as us? We even discuss about it and saying that at such hour should be no one checking.. We tried to bluff through saying we were lost in the train and took the wrong direction and hence exceed the timing.. Use all sorts of ways to nego with them and STILL FAILED! There goes our 28 euros per person, luckily its just 28 euros! We shall save on tibits and snacks then :) hahahaha!

Though there’s all sort of unlucky stuff happening to us, we kinda immune to it and so happy we experienced it actually! Who will be so LUCKY like us experiencing this too??? hehehehehehe! :)

Im looking forward to Dragon Boat Festival, WRAP DUMPLINGS TIME! We booked a place where we will wrap dumplings with the asian people, that day Enyi will be coming over to Graz too! 3rd June gonna be fun!

Shopping City Seiersberg

Ryn & me went to the BIGGEST shopping centre in Graz, like finally so long after 2.5 months stay here and WE ARE EXPLORING GRAZ! CHEERS! hahaha okay we are very lag, but we spent most of our time traveling, no choice!

Seiersberg shopping city is located quite far away from our hostel, 1 hour bus ride and we took a total of 3 buses to get there-.- The place was SUPER ULU, like some Shell or Esso Mobil stand alone kind at the highway (imagine that). It’s a day worth celebrating too! IT’S RYN AND HER BF 2ND YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Yeah, congrats:) I felt so happy for the two of them going through all obstacles and yet happily tgt now :) I want to attend ur wedding SOON please. haha.

Entrance of the Shopping Centre

Ulu Location

Our lunch was at a mini bar restaurant called La Piazza, we both ordered Risotto mixed with seafood (mussels & crabmeat). Heavenly great when we get to eat seafood, rice is sticky porridge kind, flavor is good:) And as usual, we went to H&M again, I bought one Bohemia style top at ONLY 5 euros.. and also rings for 5 Euros. Both item is not really what I VERY FOND OF, but it’s cheap so why not? The shops there generally is not very appealing, either too “lok cock” or too “atas”. And the shopping centre is sooo quiet, I’m wondering how they earn money and sustain their business.

Risotto With Seafood

I wanted to get the bright pink and blue version, but no size:( So I shall get this though it's not my fav! haha

super over sized top/dress! haha wanna go bohemia! Pardon my messy bed! haha

OH PRAGUE RESERVATION TICKETS BOOKED! HOSTEL BOOKED! Next up is to research on places to go :)

Budapest! Warm bath during Spring, AWESOME :)

What’s so good about going Europe for exchange? WEEKEND GETAWAY TRIP! Just 6 hours train away with our Eurail pass get us to Hungary, Budapest! How great it would be.. hehe!

Waking up at 5.30 am, catching the train at 7.25 am, happily going to validate our new Eurail pass at 7.15 am…….. anddddd guess what??? I DID NOT BRING MY NEWLY PURCHASED EURAIL PASS!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOSH, who is the most blur idiot in this world? Feeling so guilty about it, and causing my travel mate, Christian, had to wait for us in Budapest for another 3 hours. GUILTY MAX! :( So in the end, we took the next train at 9.25 am :)

I would like to emphasize on the WARM THERMAL BATH that I went at Szechenyi. This was the main reason why I’m so excited about my trip! And I know you singaporeans will not be jealous as it’s bloodly hell so freaking hot in SG.. Who cares about that warm bath right? haha but nonetheless, it’s like saver for me and Ryn with the warm water and sort of save our poor dry skin a little?

“Stated from the website: The hot spring contains a significant amount of fluoride and metabolic acid, along with calcium, magnesium, hydro-carbonate, sodium and sulphate – effective to cure degenerative illnesses of joints, as well as chronic and semi-acute arthritis. It is also fit for orthopaedic and post-injury treatments”.

But I don’t feel vast differences in my skin. =( And the mineral water is kinda “stinky”. And something gross happen, I shall not elaborate here. HAHA! Me and Ryn inferior of our own body figure, we intended to wear like tank tops over bikinis. BUT everyone is wearing them, even the olds, the fat, basically ANYONE! So we just decided to take off. hahaha! There are different bath section with different level of temperature, I love the 38 degrees ones, at least it made me sweat:) SHIOK!

=D

Second fav. place is Budapest’s night scenery at CITADELLA! We climbed steps, panting complaining away, and finally reached the top of CITADELLA, we felt so good seeing the scene from the top view:) So windy at that time!

Top View of Citadella

The Parliament From Far Away View

Fisherman’s Bastion, my third fav. place! It’s like a mini castle with church and shophouses over there. The wind is so strong that day, and the sky is gloomy.

Cathedral

Mini Castle

Top View at Fisherman's Bastion

Drinking coffee, enjoying the wind, RELAX!

Hungary FOOD! okay we will always get something local from the city to try. Christian introduced us Hungarian Soup. It tasted a little sour-spicy, served with potatos, carrots and mutton. The taste is quite similar to mutton soup, just that it’s more smooth drinking and not those sticky & oily kind of texture. hahaha whatever it is, I LOVE THE SOUP!

Hungarian Soup Served with Potatos, Carrots & Mutton

Another MUST-BUY food is ICE CREAM! Like forever standard routine when we were travelling. This mega TALL ice cream caught our eyes and even though its so windy cold, we still want to eat it no matter what. And it’s no joke, my hands and legs keep shivering. haha!

Heroes' Square & Magaret Island

Okay next trip, PRAGUE! So many people love Prague so much, I’m wondering why??

P.S.: I’m always not listening to class :( 2.5 hrs more to end class and I’M GG SHOPPING! H&M here I come again :)

London Chocolate Roll~london chocolate roll…

LONDON!!! We meet up with Yung, the guy we knew from Salzburg and he hosted us for 3 nights. His house is very neat and well decorated. To the extent that I don’t even dare to drop any strand of hair on the floor, I will pick up whenever I saw them. Hahaha. Oh and he own a Porsche, freaking rich hur. Lucky us, we got the chance to sit in his car for once.

London, very awesome shopping paradise (go there if you are a hard core shopaholic, TRUST ME). Over there, it got what you want to look for as a Singaporean. Miss Selfridge, Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Berksha, Pull & Bear, Uniqlo, Armani Exchange, Accessorize, Zara, Mango, Dior, Chanel bla bla bla…. But all this is all too highly priced for me and Ryn to afford:( PRIMARK! OKay this place is bloodly hell cheap to the max like REALLLLLLL plssssssssss. It’s  a super big store with 2 floors, and all it got include dress, shirts, tank tops, accessories, bags, shoes, cardigan (alot lah). Me and Ryn went there every SINGLE day to get gifts and good bargains for ourselves. Here are the things I got for the FIRST time I went there:

PRIMARK! Store as big as the word! Haha

The heart shaped sunglass that I didn't get at last:( Becoz there's some defects!

Shopping make me happy like MAD!

PRICE FOR THOSE SHIT!

Cardigan: 10 Euros

Leopard Print Lingerie: 4 Euros

oxford shoes: 8 Euros

Heart-Shaped Buckle Bikini: 6 Euros

Fringe Purse: 4 Euros

Sunglass + Case: 10 Euros

Nude Clutch: 4 Euros

Stockings: 2.50 Euros

Grey-White Stripe: 4 Euros

And we still went back to get tax refund forms & buy more stuffs! I think I snatched a total of 4 shoes, LUGGAGE EXCEEDED, SHIT!

Another fav. place in London, is CHINATOWN! Gives us the home feeling with the place filled with all chinese, and a lot of people speak Cantonese there. Like a mini Hong Kong! We had a feast that night with Yung, omg feel like heaven eating all the chinese dishes (Toufu, Braised meat, Beans & Chicken). And another feast at Royal Dragon, WAHAHAHA!

Spot the mini us with our duper big Primark bag!

Yung always got those cute expression!

YUMMY LAH~

Heavenly Awesome

Borough Market, a place for top quality gourmet.. Its so crowded during lunch time and we bought Paella (a kind of fried rice) and beef wrap. Had ice cream and pie that won the best food award or whatever shit. VERY DELICIOUS, I always heart gourmet market in Europe. Its really very different from Singapore Food Exhibition where they always sell tako balls, mala tofu/fishballs, rami burger….er sound boring hur!

Borough Market

Making of my Beef Wrap

Paella!

Sangria (Red Wine With Juices)

Happy Eating 1

....and 2

3!

Rum & Rasins for me AGAIN!

Mushrooms Bacon Pie (not as delicious as we thought)

Some attractions we went, London Tower Bridge at night is simply speechless! :)

London Tower Bridge

Like Singapore's Esplanade

We caught a dance show in London too, the band called Circolombia. Circolombia is nothing like the animal jumping circus you remember as a child. Circolombia is gritty, modern, full of attitude and comprised of a motley crew of young artists, whose awe-inspiring acrobatic prowess is matched by their high voltage energy. Me and Ryn really love the enthusiasm they portrayed and the “never give up” attitude. They did not succeed in doing some of the stunts, but they did not give up and still try again. I think it’s the spirit that earned all the cheering and claps from the audience.

Our tickets! A good seat with good view!

We Love The Show!

We went for some drinking session after the show.

A bunch of REALLY very dramatic friends. Esp the botak guy (called Lowen) at the left side!

Hamburger with Fries (Yung said it's shit food)

Lowen called this drink and he din expect it to be such a "girly" drink! hahahaha!

Bartender (I always got a swollen & red face when I drank, tats sucky!

okay lastly, we went to British Museum. I’m so sick about visiting museums, some is really not worth it and expensive. But this Museum is a must go and its FREE! This museum houses a vast collection of WORLD art and artefacts. Interesting! We also go to Grey Hound Racing, and we gambled losing 5 Euros each, SADDED:( haha but its really for an experience and its fun guessing which dog will run first. And critising on those that really run so VERY slowly, ARGH!

LUCKY GO!

Yung's Bet

Mine & Ryn's Bet, WE WILL WIN!

BUT WE LOST!

DEPRESSED:(

I would go back London, TO PRIMARK & FIND YUNG AGAIN!

Salzburg + Ice-Skiing

In fact the very first trip I went is Salzburg (Austria), and it’s one of my top fav place. We booked a hostel at Yoho International Youth Hostel, it’s a 4 beds mixed dorm recommended by Shi Yang. Yeah services is not bad & dirt cheap too but the guy who shared the room with us stinks max! Ryn and me were having difficulties breathing! I think the smell came from his clothing? You know those kind of clothing that is not dried properly under sunlight? Yeah that’s the smell.. We were covering our whole face sleeping throughout. He even took of his pants IN FRONT OF US, shameful idiot.. But of course, boxers is on lah, but still abit unglam right. roar~

Waiting for train to set off

Our Hostel (Yoho International)

Salzburg is a very small city, that is walkable to all attractions. We went to Mozart’s birthplace & residences and walked around the city. And gelato is our all time fav, we die die will get it in every city we visited. haha maybe I could even do a review on which ice-cream is the best so far. The one we had in Salzburg is good, I ate Apfel (apple) flavor & Rum Raisins. Ryn got a super hot fetish for schokolade (chocolate) ice-cream, always called the same thing-.- Oh and Rum Rasins is my all time fav!

Our first meal, Italian Food

A kind of special Minstrone Soup, different from the ones we saw in Singapore. But the seasoning gao gao max, unhealthy but tasty!

1 Euro/cone gelato, super yummy flavors. We ate for consecutive 2 days!

Rum Raisinsssssssss~

Who says girls is not easy to coax? GIVE US GELATO!

Mozart!!!!! I think many of you know his stories without me elaborating much, he showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood in Salzburg. Already competent on keyboard and violin, he actually composed from the age of FIVE and performed before European royalty. What am I actually doing during 5 years old? Still crying over milk & being a gluey girl to my mummy, SUCKS! haha nvm I will have a son that will be so talented in future, so I can shake leg and wait for him to earn. How good is that? haha

Mozart

Left: Unique ear structure of Mozart Right: Normal human eat structure

The city is beautiful, especially during evening time. There’s a sea bridge across the heart of the city.

Nice view at the heart of Salzburg

Famous Chocolate Shop

Who can resist CHOCOLATES?

Chocolate Heels

Bikinis (ex like hell)

Designer shoes (ex like hell as well)

Intend to go clubbing at night, asking around which club is good and we ended at Republic. The club is quite bad, with sucky music, sucky service and too smokey again. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my Thai Curry Rice over there, awesome!

@ Republic w my Thai Curry Rice

Make me miss Singapore again! SIAN

Ryn's order (What does the dish call? errrr...)

Bleah!

We also went to some attractions, cathedral & fortress bla bla bla.

Interior view of the Cathedral

Cable car service also available to reach the top of the mountain. The scenery is max chio, filled with snow. People even went up for their ice-skiing. We had fun playing with the snow, I think those Europeans will think that we were crazy. A pity we didn’t manage to build a snow man, too freezing cold for our hands to take.

And I even spend bucks on ice skiing, never believe I get the chance to try and yeah it’s my first time trying. Lots of laughters at each another whenever we fell down. And especially kids at 4 years old can ski so bloodly hell WELL, you will hate yourself so much at that time. We paid like 150 euros for getting the equipments, ski pass to get up the mountain, and instructor fees for 2 hours time span. Expensive but worth it for the first time experience. A guy named, Yung, joined us in the lesson too. He’s a cute & funny guy from London, really nice to meet him. He even host us for 3 nights at his house when we visited him in London.

Left: Instructor Middle: Yung Right: Ryn

BOO, I want to ski again plsss!
